DC Semester Program Acknowledgement Statement

DC Semester Program Acknowledgement Statement

  • I acknowledge that per the College's policy, "No more than six credits in academic internships may be applied to the 120 credits required for graduation."

    • I acknowledge that the DC SemesterProgram Internship class does count as 6 internship credits.
    • I further understand that it is the first 6 internship credits of my William & Mary career that will count towards graduation.
    Therefore
    • If I have earned any previous internship credits, not all 6 of these credits will count towards graduation (only the first 6 earned will count).
    • If I earn additionalinternships credits in the future, the additional credits will not count toward graduation (only the 6 from the Program will count).

If I have more than 6 internship credits and would like for an exception to be made so that one specific experience counts for the internship credits (rather than simply the first 6), I understand that it is my responsibility to work directly with the Registrar's Office.

  • I acknowledge that the DC SemesterProgram has two mandatory class meeting times:

    • Alternating Friday mornings, 10:00am - 12:00 pm
    • Friday afternoonsfrom 1:00pm-5:00pm (and additional sessions as deemed necessary by the Professor)
  • When working to apply for and eventually accept an internship, I am aware that my schedule must not interfere with class, as I am required to be present for each class.(The Professor may make individual exceptions for a single class meeting date.)
